Scrap-Tag - 'Vacation Time' over at Frilly and Funky

My second round of Guest Designing over at Frilly and Funky and this weeks challenge is:

It's Time for a Vacation

It's time to get away from winter and go on a vacation somewhere - it could be a warm beach, an exotic locale with lots of sights to see or even in your own back yard.

I decided to 'Scrap-Tag' or 'Tag-Scrap' (unsure if these are the official terms) a little picture from our vacation last year in Cornwall. We have some lovely memories of being at the beach,  playing in the sea, eating ice cream and walking the doggies!! We're certainly hoping to be able to do the same this year :)

The Basics:
I cut three size 8 tags from some sea themed paper, splattered paint using Tim Holtz Distress paints in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean and of course using the paint with some of his stamps. I also let the paint run and drip in places to create subtle change in colours.

Extras:
Seed beads were added here and there for extra texture too. Some lace from my stash has also been included in places to soften the feel.

I used the new Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies to create a bubble/sea netting effect in the background - LOVE THIS DIE!!! Seriously, this is a must have product, the potential and possibilities are endless :)

Rock Candy Dry Distress Glitter for the centre of the flower and dotted around in other places for some extra yummy texture.

Tim Holtz Word Band - 'live in the moment'. I chose this especially as that is what holidays are all about... sharing fun times with your family. :)

Just a close up the two of them (I couldn't resist!), Isaac loves to be thrown and swung around - typical boy!! :) Love these photos from this day, he had so much fun, plus he was wearing this little full body swimming outfit which is navy and white stripes, but in B&W photos he looks like a Little Victorian! Perfect for someone who loves a bit of vintage in their world!!

I finished up with seam binding using Tim Holtz Distress inks in Broken China and Vintage Photo to match the distressing around the edge of the tags.

I'd like to wrap this post up with a massive thank you to Frilly and Funky for letting me come and guest for them. It has been such an honour and so much fun to guest design for such an amazing team full of super talented ladies - ****THANK YOU**** :)

Enjoy the rest of you day my craft-happy-bloggers and hope that this will help get some creative juices flowing.... !!

Love and hugs
Georgie xx
