Under Sea/ Shell Theme Thank You Card

A little while a go a very generous lady from the crafting world made me a lovely gift and plus some little extras....! :) I was so overwhelmed at her generosity, especially, as a family we were going through quite a tough time. The skill and talent that she has is phenomenal and in return I wanted to make something to say thank you.

So here it is...

It's a mixed media card inspired by the sea. I wanted to make it look as if the shell was appearing from water in the frame, so used lots of glossy accents.

Pearls seemed like the perfect partner so I used them in various sizes as well as perfect pearls.

I used lots a PaperArtsy Fresco paints again (I love those paints). Colours used were Snowflake, mermaid, inky pool and beach hut.

The texture was created with tissue paper, dry wall tape and mini glass beads in a white glue. Again recent find combination wise and I love it. Also decoupaged some text tissue paper into the background.

This style card is fast becoming a favourite of mine do. :)

I'd like to enter this in the Country View Crafts Challenge - Nautical (September)
