So I thought I'd take a trip back to our summer hols, and more importantly, Isaac's first holiday! :)
After seeing WOW's challenge 'Memories', I knew I wanted to go back to those moments specifically. They felt... perfect. Seeing how much he fell in love with the sea, building sand castles and an ice cream a day... well, that was him sold!! Not just him, the dogs had a blast too.
Anyway, I digress........ Please take a nosy if you feel so inclined :)
I use some Tim Holtz Distress Paints, in Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Black Soot. I dabbed the paint randomly, then sprayed water with a mini mister - I really love some of the colour blends that came from this.
I next used some Tattered Angels in Autumn Nights whilst the background was semi wet so the paint wicked slightly, then I dried the piece and flicked some more.
After drying, I used an embossing pen and roughly half circled the darker flicks and used a black embossing powder. Once that was done I wanted to create a wave like movement, so back with the embossing pen and and some white embossing powder.
Then the rest came together, I used some bits from Prima Seashore 12x12 collection
(Sorry couldn't get a good close pic without getting a shadow)
I'm going to now put my feet up, have a lemsip and try to shake this awful cold :0) Sorry if the page doesn't read entirely right or there are spelling mistakes, my head is pretty foggy.
Thanks for stopping by
