Frilly and Funkie - Chalk It Up!

Happy Wednesday!!
Big welcome to my newest so pleased to see you here, hope you enjoy my blog, feel free to nosey around! :)

Time for a lovely new challenge over at Frilly and Funkie and this week our hostess is the gorgeously talented Shelly Hickox! Her theme for this challenge is:

~ CHALK IT UP! ~

"Chalk is such a versatile medium and we want to see how you can use it in your vintage or shabby chic creations. You can choose faux chalk technique, chalk inks, powdered chalks, or even a stick of chalk - it's up to you!"

I chose to use Paperarsty Fresco Chalk Acrylic Paints in London Nights, Lilac and Snowflake. The colours blend beautifully.
I used loads of lovely gorgeous embellies from Linda's shop The Funkie Junkie Boutique (full list of goodies listed below) and started with an even white covering in Snowflake - seriously white chalk paint covers exceptionally well!

The beautiful wooden elements by Kaisercraft layered on top of crochet lace add texture and contrast.

I swear I can't do a piece these days without a bit of resin! :)

Behind the frame is a concoction of tissue paper, Distress Paints, dry wall tape, chit chat stickers and hidden behind layers of glossy accents.

Still playing and experimenting with the flowers using the Tim Holtz punch, usually love how they come out but I think the paper shouldn't have been so patterned.

LOOSE these dies by Tim Holtz, perfect for everything, Journals, scrapbook pages, and of course cards!!

Hope you're all having a lovely week so far, I'll be round to catch up soon!
Hugs
Georgie xx
