Hiya!
Mixed Media World have a new challenge up and running today! The theme this month is:
***Magical/Fantasy***
So come over and play along with our theme, we love seeing entries from everyone :)
Here is my inspirational piece for this month:
I created an old magical secret book-box. I used an embossing folder from Spellbinders, which I got ages a go but haven't got round to using yet and this was just the most perfect opportunity to try it out. It's one of their M-Bossabilities called Noble Rook.
I covered everything in black gesso and then added various applications of 'gilding' to it. Putting further pressure on areas I wanted to stand out more, but overall gave the whole piece a light layer to show wear.
The hidden depths... Gave the inside a simple coat of black gesso. This book was made for my mum to give to friend to put a layer of chocolates in as a present. Just hope they like!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Georgie
