Haha it's been a busy weekend, lots of projects on the go. I do love to stay busy and keep my arty muscles flexed lol, but boy I have been manic!! :) Anyhoo on to today's post and it's exciting....
....This month our challenge over at Mixed Media World is 'Use Bright Colours' - how fantastic is that? I love brights, but find I can be a little out of my comfort zone sometimes, but I'm getting there... :)
I decided to do an art journal page, and I've seen these gorgeous ones with hearts and they look so striking and beautiful, I really wanted to give one a try when I heard our theme. So I set to work...
I used some lovely Dylusions sprays for the background, but didn't gesso for these as I find they can start to slide if you want to keep adding layers.
I had a go with my new 3D Gloss Gel from Prima and used the Glitter Glass in Gold Rush with the 'bubble' stencil from Tim Holtz.
I chose the sentiments from Tim Holtz's Small Talk stickers. I love meanings (hidden or otherwise), and they just fitted in perfectly with the page.
Our sponsor this month is:
Three images will be awarded to the winner.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and do hop across and check out the makes from my other talented teamies. Also, thank you for all your gorgeous comments, I read every single one and they always brighten my day.
Hugs
Georgie xx

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Georgie - your page is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Love the colors (and yes I agree with you - bright colors can be a little out of one's comfort zone) and the heart just pops off the page. There is so much texture and of course I had to enlarge the image so I could keep looking at everything on a deeper level. Simply beautiful as all your creations are.
