Warning - photo heavy - soz :)
This photo is of my hubby and son on our Sept hols last year, we just spent everyday at the beach in some form or another and my son just adored the water!! We had the most relaxing holiday, and doing LO this makes me so want another!!! So when I saw the mood board for Dusty Attic, a beautiful summery, beachy feel, I knew I had to scrap another of these holiday snaps.
Loads of Dusty Attic goodies were used. I recently made (very) good use of their April offer of free shipping :)
I started off using the Baroque Frames left overs, I kept the outer piece because it was also gorgeous in it's own right and you get more bang for buck by using the negatives. Then added some Flourish #8. After these were glued I gesso'd, crackled and spray using loads of yummy Lindy's Sprays.
Two different Word Packs were used, #3 and #4, both were embossed.
I used Lindy's EP in Angel Wings Gold on 'Holiday' straight over the white gesso and the same EP over 'moments' but over a light coating of paint Clam Bake Beige Spray.
I love these bobbly vines (Wattle Blossom),
they added just that much extra depth and are perfect for adding flowers to too! I used Magicals to paint these.
Lovely embellies, and from Hobby Craft and eBay so nothing designer :)
More bobbly vines, I guess I used it because it reminded me of that bobbly seaweed - am I weird? (hmm don't answer that ;) )
I added hints of Fishnet Panel here and there, but I also some matchsticks to help layer the photo.
Lindy's used:
Sprays:
Cocoa Bean Copper (just a smidge)
Magicals:
Embossing Powder:
I'd like to very much add this layout to the following challenges:
Dusty Attic (linked above)
Lindy's Stamp Gang (linked above)
See ya around soon,
Hugs
