Mixed Media World - Gorgeous Textures

Happy Sunday Afternoon Everyone,

Cannot believe we're in August already, I'm sure time is whizzing by faster than it should be! Over at Mixed Media World this month, our lovely leader Ingrid has set our theme:

GORGEOUS TEXTURES

"Use various media and materials to create yummy textures on your projects"

Sponsor: Old Vintage shop
Prize: 3 Image from Etsy

For this challenge I was very inspired by Prima's Product Pick (mood board below), with the fresh colours, and my recent purchase of some garden fable products, I really wanted to play!

I decided to pour in all sorts of texture, from paint and modelling paste to the soft look and feel of cheesecloth. Prima's new Garden Fable line, is so fresh and summery, I'm just in love with the line right now!

I used modelling paste with Splash Micro Beads from Finnabair to create a few of these butterflies through a stencil.

And that bow... isn't it gorgeous...! Huge thank you to a hugely talented dear team mate and friend, Samra from Paper Talk With Samra  who sent me some bows for my birthday when I was being absolutely clueless on how to make them. I've been holding on to them, (staring, drooling... the occasional stroking.. cough cough.. ahem.. :) I'm not weird -promise!!)  ;)  not wanting to use them up as they're soooo pretty, but this teal/turquoise one was just a match made in heaven for this tag. Thank you Samra!! :)

Thick paint splattered creates a lovely bumpy surface :), beads and sequins add some sparkle and shine.

The heart lock and key was covered with a little gel medium and sprinkled with glitter and beads, the flowers are such an easy options if you ever struggle with texture!

So fancy playing along with us at Mixed Media World? :) We love seeing what fantabulous creations you come up with!!

Don't for get to stop by my other teamies and check out their fabulous creations!
