Layout for Prima Challenge

Howdy!! :)

Just a quick post as I really wanted to enter in the Prima Product Picks Challenge for this month.

This is a layout featuring a pic I took on one of my walks from awhile a go. I thought the green foliage with the hint of a pink unripened blackberry fitted the colours beautifully.

As I was doing layout, I flipped the design for their Build A Page too! :)

I've not done a layout for ages, so feel a little out of practice :) but it was just so much fun to raid my Prima stash!! Every so often I seem to have a Prima-Buying-Binge. I have noticed of late that I have issues... I have issues in that I love to buy craft supplies, especially the pretty papers, flowers and embellishments, but can't bear to tarnish their newness, with my clumsy art hands lol. I am working to get past this. It seems they must have a settling in period, where I can just adore them for what they are.

Haha, Am I weird?!! Actually, don't answer that... ;)

The gorgeous greens are from Finn's new line of Art Alchemy paints, in Emerald, Olive, Green-Gold and Lime Peel. Also some Prima's green jute... and I cracked open Debutante chipboard set to get at these pretty sequins - they matched perfectly to the board!!

Flowers are from Royal Menagerie, and there are Wood Icons flowers and leaves.

Some pretty Prima Stamping using the Royal Menagerie set.

So without further ado, I'd like to enter this in this month's Prima Product Picks and Build A Page (March), here is the moodboard, which was just a delight to take inspiration from.

love and hugs

  1. So beautifully done my dear, as usual! Now regarding supplies you buy and don't want to use them...I have the same thing with certain super expensive cardstock. I buy them only to admire them, not to really use them. lol

  5. Ha, ha, see, you are not alone and definitely not weird! I cannot bear to take things out of packages, especially Prima and Tim Holtz things and now my new obsession - Scrapiniec.... there is no hope for any of us so we might just as well carry on!!!

Your layout is beautiful, I love the design and layout, it really draws the eye in beautifully to the photo (which is beautiful). The colours are beautiful too. Hugs, Anne xx

  6. This is super duper awesome and so pretty! I can see what you mean about not wanting to use certain items. I leave new supplies on my desk until they get used so I can keep track of what I need to use. Hehe! Fun times! And I am totally on board for the Scrapiniec as well, just have to find some in the USA. Beautiful design dearie. Hugz! ~Niki
