Finding Beauty in the DREAMROAD

Good Morning!!

Howdy there to my latest followers, thank you for joining me on my arty journey :) and a huge hug and thank you to those who are still here with me xx

I have managed to squeeze in a little time (my son went to bed at 5:30 Friday evening!!) to have a play for a couple of challenges which I adore, Lindy's and Dusty Attic.

I took my inspiration for this piece from Elena Morgun of Sunshine Studio, she is an amazing artist and I recommend checking her blog out.

I do LOVE both of these companies, they are up there as my faves but I have a lot to do at the moment with juggling six DTs, so time to play is few and far between!

But here it is:

This will be winging it's way as a birthday surprise somewhere very soon :)

I used one of the Dusty Attic Elegant Frames and painted with Acrylic Silks in Bolivian Blue (base colour to give depth, and Wine and Roses, and Vavoom Red.

The paper is from Prima's Almanac 6x6 collection, then sprayed with Lindy's Summer Lovin' Sun, Wild Honey Suckle Coral and Pink Ladies Pink. These colours created that gorgeous warm glow for the background which I really wanted to achieve, inspired by the photo inspiration from Dusty. The blue drips were sprayed with Tibetan Poppy Teal.

This Diamond Panel from Dusty Attic was cut randomly and then painted with four blue Acrylic Silks - African Jade, Magestic Blue, Bolivian Blue, and Azurite.

The road sign is from Ingvild Blooms collection and just felt right for the dreamy and magical feel of Dusty's mood board.

The gems are from Prima's Say It In Crystals - Seashore Collection.

Some stamping and doodling to add a more 'organic' feel to the piece.

Some cheese cloth to add a little softer texture in the background, which have been sprayed with Summer Lovin' Sun and Wild Honeysuckle Coral from Lindy's.

I actually managed to use two of this month's colours - normally I have a close match but their actual colours! Yay!!

That's it from me today, and my inner artist is feeling very happy and calm at having her own time for playing :) Must let her out more often - lol!

Hugs to all,
Georgie xx

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Lindy's - April colours (above)
Artful Times - A little bit of Finnabair (embellies and style from her and her team)
