Over at Crafty Gals Corner the challenge this week is to Try Something New.
Maybe there is a technique, fold, item, style you have been putting off trying.. well now is the time to step out of your comfort zone and take a leap.
The image I used was from Bugaboo Stamps - Live Love Laugh Flower Fairies.
For this I tried printing on to patterned paper. I was quite selective about the image as I wanted a silhouette, so there wouldn't be any clashing of colours etc. I printed on a sheet from Prima Art Journal paper pad, mounted on white and then on to a piece from Prima Romance Novel. All mounted onto a plain white card.
I outlined the images with a white gel pen to allow them to just slightly separate from the paper and coloured some parts of the butterflies and fairy wings, to add a little more interest. Also for the 'Live, Love, Laugh' too. Then finished up with some pearls. :)
Our sponsors this week are:
Prize: $20 Gift Certificate
AND
Prize: 7 Digital Images
This is something I will happily do again. Printing on to patterned paper is definitely a quick way to pull a card together.
Hope you're all having a great week and do come and play along with us at Crafty Gals, we love to see your work.
Happy hugs
