Mango Treasures textured paper from Paper Temptress

I never grow tired of doing art journal style pillow boxes and when I saw this paper I could see this design almost immediately. The orange base was actually much sturdier than I thought it would be and took the paint so well. 

I used Tim Holtz Distress Paints in Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed and just dabbed randomly on the card, then sprayed with some water to blend. I love the vibrancy of this, the pink and yellow blended beautifully with the orange paper. 

I used the heart stamp from the Tim Holtz Urban Chic set and his Hearts Movers and Shapers. 




Heart Balloons from StitchyBear Digital Outlet

CAS design for this card, using a blend of red copic markers. Drew the boarder in the same squiggly style. Such a brilliantly quick style to do if you're in a hurry or forget to do a card for Valentines Day! :)

All you have to do is use a heart somewhere on your creation. Easy Peasy...

    LOVING the CAS card Georgie those scribbly hearts are beautiful. WOW how bright is your wonderful pillow box, are you going to add it to the Craft Stamper January Challenge which is take a stamp? Bet you would light a few fires there with your project :-) xxx

    Picked Raspberry - my very favourite colour and it certainly blends well to give that fantastic colour on your box.... and goes so beautifully with the black and white border. The heart balloons are wonderful, love that card - a lot! Hugs, Anne xx
