Art Journal Page - ...Mr Wolf

This was such a fun page to create.  When I saw this image I wanted invoke the stronger side of Little Red Riding Hood, as if she was 'Facing Her Fear' and confronting the wolf, inner demons etc.

I wanted a moody/grungy background to represent the darkness of the fear, or in this case the Wolf. Lots of clocks to play on the words of 'What's The Time Mr Wolf?', in case some of you don't know, this is a game we play as kids here in the UK, and thought it was appropriate to 'taunt' the wolf in this layout with this saying. :)

I used some Maja Design clocks and the Tim Holtz Weathered Clock die cuts. The background was mainly coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Paints and some Dylusion Sprays. I did a little stencilling in the background to add interest.

To make the Maja clocks pop I used Gelatos in Gold to give them a glow and the Faber Castell Big Brush Pitt Pen to edge the other parts to ground them to the page. I also incorporated the question mark into the clock in the corner.

Little Red was coloured using Copics, then cut and layered into the page.

I created this page to remind myself to tackle my fears head on, no matter what they are or how dark times seem. It's always a matter of perspective and changing it to fight rather than flight.

Come along and play at Not Just Cards Challenges, remember you can enter anything you have created into this challenge, the theme is always Anything Goes.

Hope you all have a lovely day
Hugs
Georgie xx
